I made a basic shape in Maya and then took it into Z-Brush and went nuts. I then exported out a high poly and created a base mesh for a normal map transfer. I then did some fancy texturing and ended up with what you see above in a grand total of like two hours. I was pretty pleased with the result and figured I would share it.

Firearms - old and new!

This is one of my favorite projects, my FN SCAR. I started working on this last year in my free time and it was my first attempt to make a highly detailed, low poly gun. I first modeled a high resolution model with gobs of details and then created a low poly version which I transferred the normal map onto. I then created a texture file and the result is what you see above.

The above photo is a comparison between the high poly model (top) and the low poly model (bottom).
This is a Colt Python model I made a while back. It is a low poly gun with a normal map. I think it has turned out quite nice, but I still haven't made a texture map I am happy with. I am currently trying to snazz this model up with a nice texture map, so look out for it in the future.
This model is strictly high poly. I modeled this gun in 3ds Max as an exercise to get used to modeling things with the software. It turned out quite nice, and I would like to make a game mesh version of it, but I have other things I'd like to knock out first. Maybe in the future.

Some low poly character stuff!

The above Samurai is for a game we were developing in house at ISO Interactive. The image contains one of many armor sets we designed for the game, and what was cool about it was that you could change it out in separate pieces. The texture on the above armor set was made by Jeff Baker, but the underlying model was created by myself. I had designed several other armor sets, but I don't have access to those files any longer to take some renders. Unfortunately ISO is no more, so this project never really got off the ground. We had made some interesting things, but not much worth showing. I had designed a "pitch" for the game, which was a simple scene with some items I had made and we had the character in a basic armor set running around.

This is a project I did for a Game Artisan's contest back in 2008. It was around the time Wrath of the Lich King came out, so it was Death Knight contest. This was my Death Knight model that I created off the base mesh given for the project. I would like to change a few things about the model, but unfortunately this picture is all that remains of the entry. The file was on a hard drive that bit the dust a month later.

Zombie Friday was another project that we were trying to get off the ground when I worked at ISO Interactive here in Atlanta. The idea was that you played as a geeky guy we called "The Protagonist" who was tasked with surviving a zombie onslaught in an office building. The game was going to run on the Unity platform and be a browser based action game, but the project sort of just died because the head honcho had no interest in it for some reason. I had made most of the assets for the game, it just came down to making the levels and getting it going. We even had the lead character in the game world shooting a shotgun and stuff he hit changed textures.
